Did you know you can DIY your own Milk Glass?

Milk Glass is one of my favorite things to collect, when I spotted these Valspar Milk Glass spray paints, I could not wait to use them!

Super easy DIY Steps –

1. Clean and dry your glass
2. Take it outside – make sure the temperature is 65º – 90ºF
3. Shake the can well and frequently
4. Hold can 10″ – 12″ away from your project
5. Apply thin coats.
6. Re-coat within 1 hour or after 24 hours (be sure to follow this).

As always, be sure to follow the instructions on the spray can.

For my project I recycled several spaghetti sauce jars but you can spray paint anything. Sometimes I find glass containers at Goodwill or yard sales that would benefit from these beautiful colors.

These mason jars, aka spaghetti sauce jars make the perfect vase! I was able to create a vintage glass effect on my recycled jars in no time. I will be using them a lot and they were so affordable!

Thrifty Tip: All of my hydrangeas are doing great this year. I grabbed a few of the white oakleaf hydrangeas and they look cottage-y perfect in my faux milk glass.
