Summer is here! We’ve had sunny days, blue skies, and warm evenings. I can’t get enough! On the first Monday of each month, I ask YOU what I should Create with. Last month we made some amazing Leather Projects. When I asked what I should use this month, you voted for JUTE STRING or ROPE. Myself and 3 other friends have made some amazing DIY jute projects and I can’t wait to show you! Plus, I need you to vote on what we will use next month! The summer weather inspired me to make these quick Jute String Lanterns!

When you voted for me to use Jute String, I honestly had NO idea what I was going to make. I very recently got some new patio furniture and I’ve been spending all my time on the patio. But we don’t have the nicest ambiance in the evenings, so I thought I would make my own lanterns to pretty up the patio.
All you need to make this project, is jute string, a mason jar, and scissors. We probably ALL have that already!
To make it a bit easier, I made a video tutorial to show you how to make them them. If you have trouble following the Lanyard knot, this pin on Pinterest should help you!

Fill them with faux candles and hang them up. I cannot wait to host a great patio party now! I made a few of them in one evening so I can hang them all over the yard :)
