I discovered a cool trick this week & I had to come here on the blog & share it with you guys. It was kind of a super random product that I tried out that I was actually shocked that worked. I was on Amazon one night browsing & I came across [this product] & HAD to give it a try. I thought it would probably end up in the garage somewhere & filed under “things that don’t work” or under “things Liz can’t do”. You see there are a ton of products I try or projects that fail that I never show you because I don’t like them or they don’t work for me. BUT this product pleasantly surprised me so I am here today to share you the magic of DIY sea glass bottles…
This project was so easy that I wasn’t sure if it warranted a whole blog post, but I couldn’t keep it to myself because I love that it turned out so I just quick took some photos on my cell phone. The DIY of it all? Ummm that would be just to take some bottles, like these I had lying around, & spray a couple of light coats of this sea glass spray paint on them. The cool part? You can control the color and deepness of the sea glass color on the bottles by how many coats you put on them. The spray dries super quick on the glass & has a very matte finish which I love. This Krylon sea glass spray [here] actually works & I’m officially sold…
Here are the bottles before…
& after the sea glass spray…
I always associate sea glass with more cottage style, which I love, but I love that just by adding the sea glass spray to the bottles it updated them to have an old antique farmhouse vibe too. I styled them on our porch, but they would be amazing in a bathroom, kitchen, dining room, & so much more. You could use this spray on any old glass bottles, jars, & any other glass item you want to update.
I hope you guys liked this quick tip & review of this sea glass spray. Have you ever used it before? Did you love it? I’m kind of addicted & now want to sea glass everything… better hide all the glass or i’ll be making it sea foam green real soon. What do you think of the sea glass? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. I will be blogging more about this porch very soon, so stay tuned! & as always THANK YOU so much for stopping by my little blog, seriously I appreciate you all on this DIY journey of mine. xx
