Valentine’s day has come and gone! All the heart decor has been taken down… It is time for cheerful and fun spring decor! Speaking of which, I can’t wait for spring! I know I live in Southern California and I shouldn’t complain but I am so done with all the stormy and damp weather we have had recently. It is time to add some cheerful and bright decor starting with the front door! An easy DIY Spring wreath totally does the trick!! Plus it took me about 5 minutes to make!
Don’t you just love spring? I remember when we used to live in the northeast, everything looked so fresh and bright in spring! The greens were so bright! My favorite were the trees filled with little blossoms – pink and white being my favorite! That is the picture I had in mind when I made this pretty and bright easy DIY Spring wreath! Isn’t it so bright and cheerful? It takes me back to a wonderful time and brings a welcome freshness to my front door! Of course, I stayed true to my resolve of creating a wreath by reusing my grapevine wreath and staying under $10.

Materials needed for the spring wreath
- Grapevine wreath
- pink blossom vine – $4.99 (with coupon from Joann’s)
- 2 White blossom stems – 1.39 each(with coupon from Joann’s)
- “welcome” wood sign – 1.79 (with coupon from Joann’s)
- Craft paint of choice. I use yellow
Step 1 – Start by wrapping the pink blossom vine around the grapevine wreath. Make sure flowers were more concentrated at the top part of the wreath since the bottom part is going to be covered by the white flowers anyway. Tuck both ends of the blossom vine into the grapevine.
Step 2 – Bend the white flower stems to mimic the arc of the wreath and tuck it in. Repeat for both the stems. I left the top of the stems disheveled to give it a rustic look.
Step 3 – Paint the wood welcome sign the color of your choice using craft paint. I painted it a cheery and bright yellow.
Step 4 – Use tiny dabs of hot glue to hold it in place on the wreath. This keeps it in place while on the door but also is easy to remove for the next wreath project.
That’s it! Here is the bright and cheery spring wreath on my front door!
I love the punch of brightness the yellow sign gives to rustic pink and white flowers and the grapevine. Did I mention the pink and white blossoms are the most cheerful flowers to me?!
