It's that time of year when staying indoors while snuggled up in a blanket all day sounds better than having to go to work or do errands, especially if it was this chunky knit blanket that people on Instagram are obsessing over.
This new knit blanket trend became popular thanks to Laura Birek, the mastermind behind the blog Nocturnal Knits. Luckily, because of Birek's video tutorial and others like it, you can make the blanket yourself instead of buying one on Etsy that can cost you up to $600. Most of the tutorials teach you a basic arm knitting technique while some use giant circular knitting needles.
Doesn't this blanket look absolutely huge next to @duni_cheri? And that's not even our biggest size!
