I absolutely adore the colours in this wall hanging! The neon touches look marvellous and make it really jump out. This was found on the site Augrenier, which seems to no longer be active.
It’s a real shame as this lady has a real talent with weaving!
This ‘late night anxiety weaving’ by Mani Mori Moto is so unique! I think that’s what I like about weaving in general, each is unique. The thing I don’t think I would like is that it seems a little time consuming!
I would love to know what your thoughts are about weaving and whether or not I should try it!?
I know I said ’10 of the best’ but it’s more like ’11 of the best’…. See what I mean about them all being unique? I love the endless possibilities of colour combinations. Mary Anne Moodie is incredible.
Do you see that lovely lilac, mustard and cream weaving? Well, there’s a fabulous tutorial in that particular post, showing you how to make a loom at home. So, now I’m seriously deliberating whether or not I want to try my hand at weaving! Have any of you tried it?
Now this one looks like it’s mostly large strands of rug weaving, which seems like it would be a little faster than needle weaving. But I’m just speculating. I really adore this weaving from The Brick House blog, the colours are stunning.
This little post from Gathering Beauty has a great tutorial on how to build a loom from a photo frame and then some step by step instructions to help you get started!
This is another one from Mary Anne Moodie, isn’t it fabulous?
Did I say 11 earlier? I meant 17… Jesus Sauvage made ALL of these! They have such incredible colours and some used gold yarn! I love them! This is exactly why I’m interested in starting to weave, there seems to be so many different possibilities!
Did I say 17? I mean 21… 21 Of The Best Woven Tapestries online… that seems to be a more suitable title for this post, right?
Artbar Blog did a great job in making weaving, a kid friendly exercise.
And now for the best of the loom tutorials and one of the most beautiful tapestries from Honestly WTF Blog.
So tell me, should I give it a try?
